Google is stealing away eBay search guru Louis Monier to work on Froogle, its shopping feed (http://gigaom.com/2005/06/22/after-ebay-google-to-take-on-ebay/).

Froogle sales have been increasing recently (according google), and products have started to appear on the top of the SERP.

Well, I still think that Froogle is only a distribution channel. Google is ccoking up something more interesting. An e-commerce service to offer free online shops building to the 1000s of potential adwords/adsense clients out there who haven't got a shop yet. Complete speculations though ...
